Photowalk in Topsham/Bowling Green Marsh on a drab but mild day. With high tide at the bird hide, we were able to see lots of wigeon, black tailed godwits, reshanks and dunlin. Two avocets joined the group of waders, as well as pintail ducks and lapwings.
In the garden at the RSPB bird hide we also saw 4 greenfinches, as well as many typical garden birds.
All in all I counted 40 bird species on this morning visit.
